Greece Lean Six Sigma – Inclusive Education Statement

1. Purpose

At Greece Lean Six Sigma, we recognise neurodiversity as a natural and valuable aspect of human diversity and a key contributor to learning quality, innovation, and sustainable performance.

This Policy defines the principles, practices, and support mechanisms applied to ensure that our training and learning services are:

  • inclusive,
  • accessible,
  • neurodiversity-affirming, and
  • designed in accordance with the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

The Policy supports, indicatively, individuals with ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other cognitive or neurological differences, without medicalisation or stigma.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • all GLSS training programmes (in-person, online, blended, self-paced),
  • learners, trainers, assessors, and educational partners,
  • the design, delivery, assessment, and certification of learning services.

3. Guiding Principles

3.1 Respect for Neurodiverse Learning Styles

We acknowledge that individuals:

  • process information differently,
  • learn at different paces,
  • express understanding in diverse ways.

Neurodiversity is recognised as a learning asset, not a limitation.

3.2 Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

All GLSS programmes are structured to provide:

  • multiple means of content representation (text, audio, visual, video),
  • multiple forms of engagement and participation,
  • flexible assessment options,
  • clear structure, learning objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes.

3.3 Accessibility as a Strategic Priority

Our digital platforms and learning materials:

  • align with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines,
  • support screen readers and keyboard navigation,
  • use dyslexia-friendly fonts and formatting,
  • avoid unnecessary cognitive overload.

4. Training Design & Delivery Practices

4.1 Learning Materials

  • Plain, clear language with limited unnecessary jargon
  • Slides with high-contrast colours and structured layouts
  • Downloadable transcripts where applicable
  • Captioned video content with pause and replay functionality

4.2 Delivery & Participation

  • Modular learning design with built-in breaks
  • Optional use of camera and microphone in live sessions
  • Focus-friendly environments with reduced distractions
  • Anonymous participation tools (polls, chat, Mentimeter, Slido)

4.3 Assessment & Examination

  • Additional time or flexible deadlines upon request
  • Alternative assessment formats (oral, visual, project-based)
  • Retakes permitted without penalty
  • Emphasis on understanding and application rather than speed

5. Support Mechanisms

5.1 Confidential Accommodation Requests

Learners may request reasonable accommodations confidentially, at any stage, by contacting:

All requests are handled with discretion, respect, and confidentiality.

5.2 Trainer Awareness & Inclusive Practice

GLSS trainers:

  • receive guidance on inclusive instructional practices,
  • apply empathy, flexibility, and clear communication,
  • support neurodiverse learners without labelling or discrimination.

5.3 Continuous Feedback Loop

GLSS systematically collects and analyses anonymous feedback related to:

  • accessibility,
  • learning experience,
  • effectiveness of accommodations.

Insights are used to drive continuous improvement of learning design and delivery.

6. Review & Accountability

This Policy:

  • is reviewed annually or as required,
  • aligns with:
    • ISO 21001:2018,
    • ISO 29993:2017,
