1. Purpose
This Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy defines the ownership, protection, and permitted use of intellectual property created, owned, or lawfully used by Greece Lean Six Sigma (GLSS).
The policy aims to:
- Protect original educational, training, and certification content
- Ensure lawful and ethical use of materials by learners, trainers, partners, and third parties
- Prevent unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial exploitation
- Comply with applicable Greek, EU, and international intellectual property legislation
2. Scope
This policy applies to all intellectual property associated with Greece Lean Six Sigma, including but not limited to:
- Training programs (live, online, hybrid, self-paced)
- Certification schemes and assessment materials
- Course manuals, slides, workbooks, templates, and tools
- Digital content hosted on websites, LMS (Moodle Cloud), email platforms, and social media
- Methodologies, frameworks, diagrams, and instructional designs
- Logos, brand elements, trademarks, and visual identity
- Recorded sessions, videos, audio, and transcripts
- Consultancy deliverables, reports, and models (unless otherwise contractually agreed)
3. Ownership of Intellectual Property
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing:
- All original content created by Greece Lean Six Sigma is the exclusive intellectual property of Greece Lean Six Sigma.
- Copyright remains with GLSS even when content is delivered to clients, learners, or partners.
- No ownership rights are transferred through participation in training, certification, or consulting services.
Third-party materials used under license (e.g., standards, software outputs, partner certification content) remain the intellectual property of their respective owners and are used strictly in accordance with licensing terms.
4. Permitted Use by Learners & Clients
Learners and clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GLSS materials solely for personal educational purposes, subject to the following conditions:
Permitted:
- Personal study and reference
- Internal learning within the participant’s organization (unless restricted)
- Use of templates for internal improvement projects
Not permitted:
- Copying or redistributing materials to third parties
- Uploading content to public or commercial platforms
- Using materials to deliver training, coaching, or consulting
- Modifying, translating, or repackaging content for resale
- Using GLSS content to create competing products or services
Written permission is required for any commercial, public, or derivative use.
5. Use by Trainers, Partners & Associates
Authorized trainers, assessors, and partners may use GLSS intellectual property only within the scope of their formal agreement with Greece Lean Six Sigma.
They must:
- Use only approved and current versions of materials
- Follow brand, attribution, and content governance rules
- Refrain from retaining, reusing, or distributing materials after termination of collaboration
- Respect confidentiality and copyright at all times
Any independent use outside authorized assignments is strictly prohibited.
6. Copyright Protection & Attribution
All content is protected under:
- Greek Copyright Law (Law 2121/1993, as amended)
- EU Directives on Intellectual Property
- International treaties (Berne Convention, WIPO)
Where reuse is permitted, proper attribution to Greece Lean Six Sigma is mandatory.
7. Trademarks & Brand Elements
The name Greece Lean Six Sigma, its logo, visual identity, and brand elements are protected trademarks and may not be used without prior written consent.
Unauthorized use of GLSS branding in marketing, certification claims, or training delivery is prohibited.
8. Infringement & Enforcement
Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of GLSS intellectual property may result in:
- Immediate suspension of access to services
- Termination of agreements
- Legal action, including claims for damages
- Notification to certification partners or authorities (where applicable)
GLSS actively monitors misuse and reserves all legal rights.
9. Reporting Intellectual Property Concerns
Suspected infringements or questions regarding permitted use may be reported to:
All reports are reviewed confidentially and handled in accordance with applicable law.
10. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with:
- Educational governance standards (ISO 21001, ISO 29993)
- Certification and accreditation requirements
- Legal and regulatory developments
