1. Purpose
This policy defines the rules, conditions, and limitations governing the use of:
- The Greece Lean Six Sigma (GLSS) logo
- Training completion logos
- Certification marks and digital badges
- Any associated partner, program, or recognition marks
The purpose of this policy is to:
- Protect the integrity and credibility of GLSS certifications and training programs
- Prevent misuse, misrepresentation, or misleading claims
- Ensure consistency with international standards and accreditation principles
- Safeguard intellectual property and brand identity
2. Scope of Application
This policy applies to:
- Certified individuals
- Training participants
- Authorized trainers and instructors
- Corporate clients and organizations
- Accredited or authorized partners
- Marketing agencies or third parties acting on behalf of the above
The policy applies across all media, including but not limited to:
- Websites and landing pages
- CVs, LinkedIn profiles, and professional biographies
- Business cards and email signatures
- Proposals, presentations, and marketing materials
- Printed and digital advertisements
3. Ownership of Logos and Certification Marks
All logos, certification marks, seals, digital badges, and related visual identifiers are the exclusive intellectual property of Greece Lean Six Sigma.
No ownership rights are transferred through training participation or certification.
Use is granted only as a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license, subject to compliance with this policy.
4. Authorized Use by Certified Individuals
Certified individuals may use GLSS certification marks only if:
- The certification is valid, active, and not expired
- The certification has not been suspended or revoked
- The mark is used exactly as provided, without alteration
Permitted Uses:
- CVs and resumes
- Professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Personal websites
- Email signatures
- Professional presentations
Mandatory Conditions:
- The full certification title must be used (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt – Greece Lean Six Sigma)
- Certification marks must not imply licensure, accreditation, or regulatory authority
- The mark must not be used in a way that suggests GLSS endorsement of services or products
5. Use by Organizations and Corporate Clients
Organizations may reference GLSS training or certifications only to the extent that:
- The reference is factually accurate
- It relates strictly to trained or certified personnel
- No implication is made that the organization itself is certified, unless explicitly stated by GLSS
Prohibited Examples:
- “ISO-Certified by Greece Lean Six Sigma”
- “GLSS-Approved Organization”
- “Official Lean Six Sigma Partner” (unless contractually authorized)
6. Use by Authorized Trainers and Partners
Authorized trainers and partners may use GLSS logos only:
- Within the scope defined in their signed agreement
- For the duration of their authorization
- In accordance with official brand guidelines
Upon termination, suspension, or expiration of authorization, all use must cease immediately.
7. Prohibited Uses (Strictly Forbidden)
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Altering, recoloring, stretching, or redesigning logos
- Using logos after certification expiration or revocation
- Using logos on products, packaging, or merchandise
- Suggesting endorsement, accreditation, or regulatory authority
- Transferring usage rights to third parties
- Using logos in misleading, deceptive, or unethical contexts
8. Digital Badges and Certificates
Where applicable, GLSS may issue digital certificates or badges.
- Badges must be displayed using official links or verified platforms
- Screenshots or modified versions are not permitted
- Verification links must remain accessible
GLSS reserves the right to revoke digital credentials at any time in case of misuse.
9. Monitoring, Enforcement, and Sanctions
Greece Lean Six Sigma actively monitors the use of its logos and certification marks.
In cases of misuse, GLSS may:
- Request immediate correction or removal
- Suspend or revoke certification or trainer authorization
- Issue cease-and-desist notices
- Take legal action where necessary
10. Reporting Misuse
Suspected misuse may be reported confidentially to:
All reports are reviewed objectively and in line with due process principles.
11. Review and Updates
This policy is reviewed:
- At least annually
- Upon changes in accreditation standards, branding, or legal requirements
