Build capability

TPM & OEE Essentials

Before you buy new capacity, find the capacity you already have. TPM & OEE Essentials teaches production and maintenance teams to measure equipment losses honestly and remove them together.

  • 2 days
  • Shop-floor exercise
  • OEE calculator included

The losses this course targets

Breakdowns and waiting

Unplanned stops, slow repairs and waiting for parts or people.

Speed losses

Equipment running below its design rate, often unnoticed for years.

Quality losses

Scrap, rework and start-up losses that consume capacity and margin.

Programme

1

OEE done right

Availability, performance and quality, and the common mistakes that inflate the number.

2

The six big losses

Making losses visible with simple data collection on the shop floor.

3

Autonomous maintenance

The steps that let operators clean, inspect and spot problems early.

4

Planned maintenance

Moving from reactive repair to planned, data-based maintenance.

5

Quick changeover (SMED)

Cutting set-up time so smaller batches become possible.

6

Sustaining TPM

Daily routines, visual boards and the role of the supervisor.

What participants take away

  • An OEE calculator and loss-tracking sheet in Excel
  • An autonomous maintenance checklist template
  • An improvement plan for one machine or line, built during the course
  • A GLSS certificate of attendance

Who it is for

Questions we are often asked

Do we need an OEE system already?

No. We show how to start with manual data and grow into automated collection later.

Is this suitable for mining or process industries?

Yes. Examples and exercises are adapted to fixed plant, mobile equipment and continuous processes.

Can it run on our site?

Yes, and we recommend it. The shop-floor exercise is the most valuable part of the course.
